Freeze-Dried: Bestvite's Acai Berry is Freeze-Dried,
a drying process that doesn't use high heat to retain all the natural nutrients of the fruit. Products that
are spray-dried use high temperature to dry the fruit and then are sprayed with
a carrier, usually maltodextrin. The high temperature destroys many of the
nutrients.
7:1 Concentrate: Our Acai Berry is in 7:1 concentrate form, which means
that every gram of the powder equals 7 grams of the Acai berry fruit. This is
the highest concentration available.
Better than Extracts: Normally herbal supplements are stronger when they
are in an extract form. This involves the extraction of the important element in
a plant. The rest of the plant is usually not as beneficial. However, Acai
extracts do not make sense, because research has shown that all the elements of
the Acai fruit are beneficial. Extracts of Acai isolate and remove only a
certain element from the other beneficial elements of the fruit. Benefits
associated with Acai come from the whole Acai Berry and not just an extract.
High ORAC Value: ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity,
which is a lab assay that measures the antioxidant activity of substances. Acai
is known to have a very high amount of ORAC value, which makes one of the
strongest antioxidants. It provides double the antioxidant activity of
blueberry. Antioxidants fight against cell damaging free radicals and are know
to be extremely beneficial.
